Today is the first day of the Outside Lands Festival. From today, August 9 through Sunday, August 11 and again on Saturday August 17, we will have limited access to Golden Gate Park, road closures, and increased foot traffic and noise. I know this is disruptive to many of us and I share in your frustration. The concert organizer and the Recreation and Parks Department have a dedicated community hotline to deal with any issues that arise during the festival. If you need assistance, please contact the Community Hotline at (415) 965-8001. The hotline will be staffed:
Friday, August 9 - Sunday, August 11 (festival days), 10am-11pm
The Richmond District Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) have secured a limited number of parking spaces at the SFUSD Academic & Professional Development Center (732 25th Ave) for parking during the OSL Festival. Unfortunately this year the San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) did not allow use of Elementary School parking lots and so this is the only available space for the PTO fundraiser. If you utilize one of these parking spaces as a Richmond District resident (94118 and 94121) please hold on to your receipt and let our team know and we will reimburse you out of the Golden Gate Park Community Benefit Fund.
And of course, if you have any questions for our office - send us an email at ChanStaff@sfgov.org or call us (415) 554-7410.
