Motion that the Board of Supervisors convene in closed session with the City Attorney for the purpose of conferring with, or receiving advice from, the City Attorney regarding the following existing litigation in which the City, as a plaintiff, is attempting, in sum, to have major manufacturers and distributors of handguns, and their trade associations, determined to be knowingly and recklessly marketing and selling a dangerous product, thereby creating a public nuisance: People of the State of California, by and through San Francisco City Attorney Louise H. Renne, et al. v. Arcadia Machine & Tool, Inc., et al. This closed session would be permitted by Government Code Section 54956.9(a). (City Attorney)
