North Beach Neighborhood Commercial District. By Supervisor Leno, that City Attorney prepare ordinance which would require the Department of Telecommunications and Information Services
to maintain a on-line resource center to assist businesses in solving the year 2000 computer problem. By Supervisor Leno, that letter of inquiry be sent to Department of
Telecommunications and Information Services to determine the time frame, the web-site location and the cost for implementing on the inter-net a publication describing methods for small
businesses to deal with the Year 2000 computer problem. By Supervisor Newsom, that letter of inquiry be sent to Chief of Police to determine the status of the 12 hour daily police
patrol in Dolores Parks. By Supervisor Yee, that City Attorney draft legislation imposing city-wide good neighbor policies on establishments with off-sale liquor licenses. By
Supervisor Yee that letter be sent to Director of Public Works requesting the department work with the San Francisco Police Department Tenderloin Task Force to assess the street lighting in
the Tenderloin and identify specific locations which need more lighting or repaired lighting, paying particular attention to the Leavenworth and Taylor Street corridors. By Supervisor
Katz, that letter should be sent to the major religious right groups, most notably the Center for Reclaiming America, the Christian Coalition, the American Family Association and the Family
Research Council, as well as the republican leadership, most notably Speaker of the House Gingrich, Senator Lott and Senator Helms, denouncing their hateful rhetoric against gays, lesbians
